Our annual Workforce Diversity Profile has been published for 2022. The report highlights our workforce as of June 2022 and provides valuable insight into the diversity of our organisation.
Our workforce
From this report we can see our workforce has increased since last year and 3.7% of colleagues have chosen to stay employed with us for over 25 years - something to celebrate.
The average age of a CCC colleague is 45 years old, with 4 out of 5 of our colleagues being female. 181 colleagues took maternity leave this year, 19 took paternity leave, and five took adoption leave or shared parental leave.
63% of colleagues have either reported their ethnicity or answered that they prefer not to say. This can be completed by CCC employees via ‘personal information’ on the Diversity tab on ERP directly, a new field can be found in this section of ‘Gender Identity’ enabling employees to self-describe gender identity which was created with EDI working group involvement.
The picture of our workforce that this data creates enables us to identify where we can provide support, flexibility, and opportunity to support equality, diversity and inclusion. In October 2021, following a suggestion from a colleague, we introduced our approach to flexible bank holidays – giving you the option to choose when to take bank holidays, giving employees the flexibility to take time off at a time that suits their values, beliefs, caring responsibilities or personal circumstances better. 2021 also saw the introduction of Menopause Awareness sessions across the organisation, which have proven consistently popular, a guidance document and policy provide guidance for managers and support available for employees.
